I think that show will survive about two or three more episodes, then be cancelled. You're the only person I know who has anything good to say about it. For everyone else it's a horrible joke.

Mostly from friends, but they claim they've read lots of bad reviews in local papers and such. I can't verify that as I don't get any papers. And I don't have a tv, so I can't watch it myself.

I haven't heard anyone say it's a "horrible joke." Most of the reviews I've read say that the pilot was weak, but you know you can't judge a series by the first episode, or even the first season. Joss Whedon has a track record of producing good television. If Firefly didn't have a great start, then it just has that much room to improve. Remember, neither BtVS nor Angel got great ratings early on.

He's going to be seeing Driving and Crying at some bar tonight, but I'm still waiting on the where and when. If I haven't heard from him by 7:00 (and it looks like I won't) then I'll head on out to your place because I'm certainly not going to drive an hour out to Carrollton and risk him not being there when I arrive.
