"Everything that you wanted I have done. You asked that the child be taken. I took him. You cowered before me, I was frightening. I have re-ordered time for you. I have turned the world upside down and I have done it all for you! I am exhausted by living up to your expectations. Isn’t that generous?""

"just fear me, love me, let me rule you and I will be your slave."

Sigh. Bowie. In tight trousers.

Is:

Sara: "...Through dangers untold and hardships unnumbered, I have fought my way here to the castle beyond the Goblin City to take back the child that you have stolen, for my will is as strong as yours, and my kingdom is as great. You have no power over me."

the proper quote to cap that?

Frankly, I would have dumped Toby and fucked the hell out of the Goblin King, but, hey, that's just me. Then we wouldn't have had to get to the point in the story where Jareth reveals how full of shit he is. We could have ended it all in those lovely pants! Or out of the lovely pants, I suppose.

For some reason, I now have an urge to see Labyrinth re-done as a pardoy with Lina Inverse in place of Sara.

"...and my kingdom is as great. You have no power over me. DRAGON SLAVE!"

Hee hee hee! Ironic, 'cos I'm watching Slayers right now. :-)

Yeah, I think that's the right quote. That's Jareth's speech right before he loses, isn't it?

And I agree about the Goblin King....

{Hey! Married, not dead!}

You are both generous and cruel. You live up to expectations, but fail to shere the true treasure...yourself.

Oh, and yeah, I want Labyrinth redone too...But I want the script re-written to give Jareth more depth. I want his power more thrillingly exploited; I want him to be a magnificent byronic hero, and I want more depth to Sara too. I want to see her teetering on the cusp of womanhood. Basically, I want a more grown-up element. Prob'ly make a 4-hour movie, but, hell, I still want it. Just as long as they don't get rid of my very favorite character Ludo. Yes, I'm an idjit. I love Ludo...
