Most important thing to note, besides that a bunch of stuff got added, is that my reading day/time has changed; it will now be Friday at 3:30pm.

Thursday 9:00 PM: Speculative Poetry Workshop. [livejournal.com profile] time_shark with participation by Leah Bobet, Gemma Files, Shira Lipkin, Ken Schneyer.
What is speculative poetry? How do you write it, why would you want to, and which
editors will buy it? Come prepared to write on the fly.

Friday Noon-2pm: A Dramatic Reading of A Midsummer Night's Dream, Acts I, II, & III.
Big long list of people playing! I'm Helena and Flute for the first hour, and just Flute for the second.

Friday 2:00 PM: The Year in Short Fiction. Ellen Datlow, David G. Hartwell (L), Shira Lipkin, Konrad Walewski.

Friday 3:30 PM: READING. I'll be reading from Cicatrix.

Friday 4:00 PM:Mythic Delirium / Goblin Fruit Group Reading (60 min.). [livejournal.com profile] time_shark and [livejournal.com profile] tithenai (hosts), [livejournal.com profile] cucumberseed, Kate Baker, [livejournal.com profile] csecooney, Gemma Files, Francesca Forest, Theodora Goss, [livejournal.com profile] wirewalking, Shira Lipkin, [livejournal.com profile] sevenravens, Sonya Taaffe, [livejournal.com profile] yuki_onna.

Friday 6:00 PM: Brainstorming Inclusive Immersive Worlds. N.K. Jemisin with participation by [livejournal.com profile] rosefox, Fred Lerner, Shira Lipkin.
Farah Mendlesohn's Rhetorics of Fantasy notes that the immersive fantasy should function on all levels as a complete world. However, many immersive fantasies fail to incorporate one of the most basic elements of any human society: our tendency to divide ourselves into socially-constructed subgroups such as race, gender, class, etc. Where such divisions are shown, they are often sorely lacking in completeness -- for example, a planet split between magic-users and the magicless, but whose entire population resembles white northern Europeans. In this workshop, participants will be invited to build a human-populated secondary world with realistic social construction. The results may be treated as a shared universe in which all participants are welcome to later write immersive fiction. Texts referenced may include fantasy literature and popular sociological non-fiction, such as Jared Diamond's Guns, Germs, and Steel, and Charles C. Mann's 1491: New Revelations of the Americas Before Columbus.

Saturday 10:00 AM: The Year in Novels. [livejournal.com profile] rosefox (L), Shira Lipkin, Graham Sleight, Gary K. Wolfe.

Saturday 3:00 PM: The Rhysling Award Poetry Slan. [livejournal.com profile] time_shark MC), [livejournal.com profile] cucumberseed, Kate Baker, Leah Bobet, [livejournal.com profile] csecooney, [livejournal.com profile] tithenai, Gemma Files, Francesca Forest, [livejournal.com profile] wirewalking, Shira Lipkin, [livejournal.com profile] sevenravens, Darrell Schweitzer, Sonya Taaffe, Cecilia Tan, [livejournal.com profile] yuki_onna.
(A "poetry slan," to be confused with "poetry slam," is a poetry reading by sf folks,
of course.) Climaxed by the presentation of this year's Rhysling Awards.

Saturday night: Guerrilla reading of Twelfth Night, location TBA!

Sunday 10:00 AM: Interstitial Arts Foundation Town Meeting. Sarah Smith with discussion by K. Tempest
Bradford, Theodora Goss, Alaya Dawn Johnson, Shira Lipkin.

The IAF is a group of "Artists Without Borders" who celebrate art that is made in the interstices between genres and categories. It is art that flourishes in the borderlands between different disciplines, mediums, and cultures. The IAF provides border-crossing artists and art scholars a forum and a focus for their efforts. Rather than creating a new genre with new borders, they support the free movement of artists across the borders of their choice. They support the development of a new vocabulary with which to view and critique border-crossing works, and they celebrate the large community of interstitial artists working in North America and around the world. The annual Interstitial Arts Foundation Town Meeting at Readercon is an exciting opportunity to catch up with the IAF and its many supporters to hear about they're doing to support the interstitial art community in 2010, solicit your ideas for future projects, and to give you a voice in the development of interstitial art.

Sunday 11:00 AM: Theodore Sturgeon Short Story Reading: "Pruzy's Pot" (1972) Vol 12. A couple gets a weird toilet; a satire of DIY living.

So yes, I went from not sure I was going to be on anything to all of this. Hi. I am taking applications for coffee and gluten-free snack minions!

I would climb MOUNTAINS for a recording of the MD/GF group reading and the Rhysling Slan.

I think it's time to start wrestling with my shyness and figuring out how I get to this thing next year.
