I have so much to write about. But I still have not showered or had breakfast.
So the one thing I MUST tell you today is:
IF YOU HAVE ANY LITERATURE TRACK PANEL IDEAS FOR ARISIA, GET THEM TO ME TODAY.
I am in immense back-to-school, back-to-writing, everything-at-once timecrunch. Tomorrow is my one day that I can spend hours fiddling with Arisia programming. (Panelist, you will be unleashed upon our choices soon.)
We have some decent suggestions from the forum and from some of you. I want more. If you could discuss any topic at a con, what would it be? If you could attend any panel, what would it be?
Also, if you want to be a panelist, you should let me know. No guarantees, and I have a better shot of getting you in if you're a pro. But I don't know if you want to come unless you tell me! :)

I am as usual up for panelist/moderator duty as needed but I have NO BRAINZ to offer panel ideas with right now.

"Urban Fantasy & First-Person Narrators" - 2 great tastes that taste great together, but why? Is it inherited from noir detective stories? Is UF the new noir?
"Thieves in Fantasy" - the Grey Mouser and his literary descendents. Moral implications - hurting society, or sticking it to The Man?
"Slice 'n' Dice YA" - an examination of YA series in which humanity had a rigid caste system based on ability/talent/personality type/etc. Again, why so popular?
A panel all about the awesomeness of Octavia Butler.
"One hundred years of World War One" - 2014 will be the hundredth anniversary of the beginning of WWI. Will we be seeing more stories in that setting? Very technological war, seems ripe for SF or close-to-steampunk fantasy.

"Favorite lower-notice authors." (bad title, but it's the sentiment) Most everybody of a certain age in fandom has heard of Asimov, or Heinlein, or Rowling. Lots of current fandom knows about rising stars like Seanan McGuire or Keith DeCandido. Who's somebody you enjoy reading who's not big on the radar but is consistently very good? What's their style like?
"Just what are all those awards anyways?" What's the difference between the Hugo and the Nebula, among others? What do they mean, in practical and in intangible terms?
Those are more what I'd want to see than what I'd like to be on, but I did moderate a panel much like #2 at Boskone and would be willing to do so again. It's been a while since I've been on panels. *wry smile* Of course, I have no idea if anybody wants to see me on panels. My talents for talk and moderation are at your disposal, should you want.

Once I see panels, I can sign up and study (or otherwise prepare).
