Judah and I will be doing our first Banditos Misteriosos event on Saturday! It is a Choose Your Own Adventure! Yes, the page says the event is full, but we have room for more people on our team. E-mail me for details.

Elayna has been cast in The Shakespeare Project at school. She's one of the Kate Sisters, performing the wooing scene from Taming of the Shrew as a tag-team wrestling match.

Yep.

They're also letting the kids insert other Shakespeare scenes as long as they can modernize them and keep the flow of the play - so she and her friend Emily will be doing Hermia and Helena's fight, set in a modern high school. Perfect.

Also, this weekend is the MIT Great Glass Pumpkin Patch - not that I can afford a pumpkin right now, but I like to look - and a party, and then on Sunday we'll be cleaning the basement living room finally (the basement is an in-law apartment), in preparation for [livejournal.com profile] omnisti's impending visit. Also because the mess makes me itch.

Remember to see if you can help people - also, there are job offers in that thread! - and go forth and compliment people!

What start time was Team Shadesong assigned? If it's early enough, I'd like to join you. (A late start time would make it hard to attend What The Fluff? in Union Square, which runs from 3 to 7.)

Actually, we're going to go it alone - we're developing a full day of just-me-and-Judah activities now! But we might see you at the Fluff festival if we stop by.

I totally understand that, given your subsequent post. I hope they assign you an early time slot so that you don't have to squeeze in the rest of your planned activities.

Fluff is going to go ahead tomorrow regardless of weather, according to its organizer.

When are the performance dates? That definitely sounds like a performance I'd be interested in should scheduling allow. I love modern interpretations of Shakespeare.

November 29 and 30 and December 1.

I am volunteering, and can set aside a tiny (cheap) pumpkin for you if you give me a price range.

Cheap for the Pumpkin Patch is still pretty expensive.... what are the cheapest pumpkins?

Also, request from [livejournal.com profile] kyburg via Twitter (she's nonlocal): " Can you ask if they could pick one at random and let me send a PayPal? "

I've seen pumpkins for $15, $25, and $35.
What's the price limit for kyburg? I can do a single pumpkin per person--I don't want to take creepy advantage of my volunteer position.
Friday, September 28th, 2012 01:16 pm (UTC)
Oh! I thought they started at ~$150.

I'll ask Kyburg.

if you don't get in line at 9 am so that you can rush in when they open the doors at 10, most of the lower price pumpins are gone.
I've seen lots in the $60-$100 range, I think.
The reward for getting there at 6 am and slogging through the rain is first access. as well as supporting a nifty program and karma points.
You or kyburg could pm me with details. i have a livejournal email account thingy.
