Well, for the opening sentence, I needed to to at least flow into the scene itself. It wass clunky as anything the first two times I wrote it today (and I only thought of how I was going to write it in the shower this morning, even though this scene (the filmed version, which would only be about twenty seconds) has been in my head for years). I needed that first paragraph to work so I could make everything else happen. I've got it working now. :-)
Since I have no idea how much you know about me... this is either harder or easier than it seems to be. Okay, here's something. I wasn't allowed to watch cartoons at all when I was a kid because when I was 5, they gave me hideous nightmares. So bad, that I actually still remember them.
I am a child of fertitily drugs -- I'm lucky there aren't 6 or 7 of me.
(It did cause me great joy as a child to torment my little brother when I found this out -- my parents tried for two years to have me and were told my mom would never get pregnant again without lots of medical assistance. Just over a year after my birth, she thought she had a kidney infection. Nope, 'twas my brother. Of course, this boiled down to, "Mom and dad *wanted* me. You were an accident." Kids can be so cruel. ;)
I'm having a Kiki moment, and you're bright and shiny, so, just for you...
My parents named me Kelly. It is NOT the name on my driver's license, so don't try calling me that. But that's what my sisters call me. They were given permission.
Now, if I actually saw aunts and uncles much, I'd make them call me Ro, dammit, because I don't like them enough to care if they have trouble making the change. But my name is Iroshi whether they like it or not. :) Thankfully I live in Texas and they all live in Missouri, so I just don't worry about it much.
Actually my mom and my sister Anniwa mostly call me Ro. It's just Jo and the Kitchen Witch who can never remember it.
And something else you probably don't know: Iroshi means female warrior (which is the same thing my birth name meant), my middle name, Taka, means hawk, and my last name is Windwalker.
I don't think there's a whole lot about me you don't know. *thinks* When I was a little girl, I once wore a nightgown to school because I thought it was pretty enough to be a dress. I was in the 2nd grade.
I haven't painted/drawn in charcoal for three years - haven't even tried. Haven't written poetry in two years. I delete most everything I write. But I can't stop writing.

(I actually don't know much about you - I know you live in Canada and write vampire stuff, and that's about it!)
