I know how to wear the costume
I know how to wear the mask
I even like the feel of having to ask

I like the sound of your whistle
I like the way you wear your grin
I even like the taste of my will caving in

I'm not a junkie for your love, I'm not a junkie
I'm not a junkie for your love, I'm not a junkie

Don't tell the captain
Don't you tell him what I've done

This is such a sweet collaboration
You've got the power, I got the shame
Funny thing is we both want somebody to blame

I'm not a junkie for your love, I'm not a junkie
I'm not a junkie for your love, I'm not a junkie

Don't tell the captain
Don't you tell him what I've done

I'm not a junkie for your love, I'm not a junkie
I'm not a junkie for your love, I'm not a junkie

I'm not a junkie for your love, I'm not a junkie
I'm not a junkie for your love, I'm not a junkie

Go tell the captain won't you tell him what I've done

Great song! I love Poe. I was just discussing in another post about how her second album Haunted is closely tied with her brother Mark Z. Danielewski's book House of Leaves. Very cool stuff.

I wish the women in my life were as horny as you are as often as you are, sweetie! :-)

I bought House of Leaves over a year ago and *still* haven't read it - it looked like something that would need extended time devoted to it, and I generally read piecemeal due to kid demands. Maybe this summer.

As for the horniness: It is my gift and my curse. :)

It can be kind of dense. My friend who first introduced me to it said that she stopped about 1/2 to 2/3 of the way through the first time and didn't pick it back up (and start over from the beginning) for several months. I made it through, I think, at least 70%.

For those unfamiliar with it, "House of Leaves" is a novel - the first book that Mark Z. Danielewski wrote - and it is *bizarre*. Many different sections in vastly different styles. A typographer's darkest nightmare, with text upside down, backwards, and every which way. Tons of footnotes. It's pretty darn, cool, actually. Just rather difficult to get through at times.

Mark's sister is the pop singer Poe (ne Annie Danielewski). Her second album, Haunted, makes many references to the book. Both the album and the book have something to do with how they each related to their father, who was a famous professor or something. Poe had a song out a year or two ago called "Hey Pretty". When it didn't get the attention she wanted the first time, they redid it with Mark reading a passage (a footnote, actually) from his book to her music. Big hit.

Anyway... it's a cool story.

Yay! I introduced someone to Poe!

You need to get both albums... Hello rocks, but Haunted is just amazing on so many levels.

Neither had I, but I love the lyrics. Will have to download some songs tonight when I get home, and if I like, buy an album. If I can only afford one, which one should I start with??

Ok, now that was weird. Just as this post was loading in my browser, the song playing in xmms (random play) changed. I will give you three guesses what the next song was.
