Got here this morning and thought "Hey! The course evaluations ought to be processed by now." So I e-mailed the woman in charge (who's new in her job), wondering if I could get an ETA on 'em. She e-mailed me back almost instantly, saying that I had impeccable timing, that she was just now preparing the e-mail to all departments to say they were ready for pickup. So I went down to pick them up, and she had mine all ready for me, and she'd written a memo setting out some ideas she'd like input on, as she's new in her job. And she was *very* nice and had some very sane ideas. Unlike her notoriously evil predecessor. So. Yes. Just good to encounter someone who does their job effectively. Which is rarer than it ought to be. That's going to be a good working relationship.
