Okay. Elayna's camping trip is next weekend, April 12-14. So last week, I ordered all the supplies she needed from the Girl Scout catalog. Faxed the order in last Wednesday, with the notation that I needed to be notified if anything was back-ordered or discontinued so I could have time to purchase it offline. Never got the promised e-mail confirmation, so I e-mailed them on Friday. They got back to me today. "Item #15772 is discontinued". Gee, I'd kinda like to know what item that was (the order form is at home). So I look on girlscouts.org, but the store isn't searchable by item number. I look at my credit card statement online and notice that the charge is over $10 less than what it should've been - which means that item #15772 is the "stuff sack", the bag to carry the sleeping bag & pillow.
Like I said before, there's no way Elayna can carry her sleeping bag and pillow by herself. Even rolled up, they're as big as she is. So she really really needed that bag (it has handles). And I now do not have any time at all to go find a suitable bag, as I will be in Arizona this weekend and the camping trip is next Friday. So it would've been really nice of them to tell me this last week, so I could've done it this past weekend. Which is, of course, what I told them to do.
I called her council store. They're all out. I am officially out of options.
