First off, full-length pic of Capri: http://www.tunabreathcats.net/comic/capricherry.gif

Mouse, can you link up to the full-length pic of Julia?

So. Yes, Capri is *very* aware of her sexuality, and Julia is not just unaware, she outright rejects the idea. Reasons:

Capri grew up in the Tower, the stronghold of the Pack - read, big old converted hotel full of men. So she had *lots* of guys to experiment with growing up, and she grew up knowing she was the hottest thing in a five-mile radius. She revels in her sexuality. Very playful.

Julia grew up on the run, essentially, after her foster father attempted to rape her at age 12. She doesn't want to be sexy. She very adamantly doesn't want to be sexy... when sexual situations come up in the comic, she's vehement about that. Don't worry, we get her into a healthy relationship.

Which is sexier? Depends on your perspective. I'm using Capri as the sexy icon because she's more sexual, she embraces that part of herself.

Opinions?

well, I guess it depends on your definition of sexy:

def 1) sexually suggestive or stimulating -- Definitely Capri
def 2) generally attractive or interesting -- in my opinion, Julia

(definitions from Merriam-Webster )

The first definition suggests active communication of sexuality on the part of the individual themselves, while the second merely denotes attractiveness in the mind of the beholder.

oops, sorry for the bad grammar in that reply (indvidual themsel*ves*?? -- where did I get that horrible phrase)

I think Donna is the sexiest. Er, the character that is; I'll reserve judgement on the person. :)

Also a valid response! Mouse, do you have the inside back cover of the ashcan scanned - I think Owen would like it...

Eep!

I think I'm going to be in the minority here, but I find Julia to be infinitely more sexy. I have always preferred the girl-next-door types to the highly sexualized vampy types. Put the two side by side across a crowded room from me and I would probably look at Capri first because her personality and her "aura", for lack of a better word, sticks out in all directions. But when I saw Julia my eyes would keep coming back to her, and it would be her that I would walk up to later that evening and say hi to.

cheers,
Phil

I kinda like the idea of a happy medium. Julia is probably more attractive, technically, but the scowl kinda kills the sex appeal. Capri is almost too overtly sexual and self-aware -- she seems too much about sex, with nothing else (I'm referring purely to the two portraits, btw, not what I know of the characters). So maybe a combo of the two of them.

If you want my opinion (and who doesn't?!) I don't find either especially sexy. But then, I have a strong dislike for coy. Playful, sweet, teasing, blah!

I'm much more interested in tough, confident, balls-(or, ovaries, I suppose)-to-the-wall kind of girl. The girl who may know she's hot (or believe she is, and be hot, even if convention says she isn't), but doesn't care if others see her that way. Her sexuality comes from a place of wanting to please herself, and not others.

Though I do have to comment that Mousie's art is fantastic, as usual, and the characterization comes though very strongly. Oh, and I love the cherry dress. I have a cherry wrap around crop top of that pattern.

So, basically, Julia and Capri are keen looking, but I really want to have a tumble with:

Oh, you *would* like Julia - I need to get Mouse to post links to the other sketches of her. Like her with her arms folded, glaring at you, or her in the mosh pit...

Oh! Girls in mosh pits (remember when we called them "slam pits"?) are very sexy. Me want. :)

Yeah, when it was called slamdancing... :) Yes, the pic is of Julia in the mosh pit for Flogging Molly, royal-Stewart-plaid bondage pants and tank top, hair tied back out of her way.

I find Julia **MUCH** sexier.

I want to smack Capri.

Well, hopefully you won't want to smack her when you read the comic. :)

If she is a protagonist, yes I hope so.

But then again, I also want to slap Chucky deLint's Jilly till she cries.

She is indeed a protagonist. One of the secondary ones.

And Capri's not as perfect as Jilly...

Keen!

Yeah, I'm kinda with you here--I really really dislike being around people who shove their supposed sexiness in your face. *Being* or *looking* sexy is just peachy, but I find people who radiate "I'm SEXXY, Loook at MEEEEEEE!" very annoying. I kinda get that vibe from the Capri drawing (points to mouse for making that project from a 2-D image!).
