Wearing black sandals, a long black circle skirt that swishes when I walk and spins out around me when I twirl, and my sparkly blue meshy top that makes me look like I still have a nice figure. And low pigtails. I feel pretty today. :)

Tonight: TMBG! They're forecasting scattered storms, so I'm a bit concerned... we're meeting up with [livejournal.com profile] glenn5 outside the park. What time, Glenn? And [livejournal.com profile] yendi, what time should we have [livejournal.com profile] kellinator pick us up?

I thought we were taking MARTA?

Pick us up to take us to the MARTA station. :)

Okey-dokey. Do we want to eat beforehand? Can I cuddle Max? I love me some Max cuddles.

(email me -- I got somethin' to tell ya)

Yeah, we should eat. And you can always cuddle Max. :)

Are we going to have another what are we wearing thread? I've got all the usual stuff, with my super-cool blue kokopelli t-shirt. It's got like a dozen kokopellis dancing around and some handprints stuff. I gotta remember to be a trickster today, so that other aspect of his doesn't come into my life. One is enough!

I didn't ask what y'all were wearing, but if you want to tell me... :)

I have a little Kokopelli figurine in hiding at home. He'll remain in hiding til after [livejournal.com profile] yendi and I get married...
Friday, June 28th, 2002 07:12 am (UTC)
Why is that? Is this something about the Kokopelli I don't know?

He's a fertility god. :)

Aye! I was wearing my kokopelli ring when Maddie was concieved, and come to think of it, I may have bought a kokopelli t-shirt that day too. I bought a shirt on our vegas trip and she was concieved on that trip. So, be careful with that figurine.

Hrrrrm....

That can't be right. My parrents bought me a kokopelli T-shirt over a year ago, and I'm still not a daddy.

Eveidently, even a Fertility God is helpless before the Power of the Pill. You hear that, [livejournal.com profile] pan_dot_com?

I have really cool earrings of him that my aunt bought me when hubby and I were trying to conceive. The conception never happened, but the earrings are still pretty cool.
And on the what I'm wearing front... It's casual Friday at work so I'm wearing my www.major attitude.com t shirt and khakis... :) And a generally disgruntled expression, but that's my normal working uniform... :)

TMBG are playing a free show here tomorrow, on the steps of the Smithsonian Museum of American History. I plan to go to the Smith. Folklife Festival, which is on the Mall, for most of the day, so I will hike up to the concert afterwards. I actually wish TMBG were the only ones playing, though, cuz I don't want to have to wait for them. The show runs 5-10 pm, but there're no estimated times for each of the three or four acts. Probably I'd be safe wandering over around 8, but I don't know. What really ticks me off is that backpacks aren't allowed. How the heck am I supposed to schlep my knitting? What if I buy stuff at the Festival? Grumble. I wonder if a shoulder bag would be okay.

Concrete Blonde will also be doing a free show like this one on 7/13. Alas, I have plans in Baltimore that afternoon (my late grandmother's best friend's 80th birthday party). Haven't managed to see CB live. Have seen TMBG twice (or is it thrice?).

We'll be seeing CB (for the first time too!) on the 12th! Guess they're all on the same circuit...

Guess so. Pretty neat program. I'm just trying to figure out what to do, because it's not just no backpacks for the DC show, it's no *bags*. At all. You're allowed to bring blankets, a disposable camera, an umbrella, and one never-opened bottle of water. That's *it*. I understand they're making their money off concessions, but please! I really don't want to have to spend another hour-plus on the Metro just so I can drop my bag off at my car, all the way out in Virginia. I don't want to drive and have to find a place to park in DC with the Folklife Festival going on. I know of no place with lockers where I could leave my stuff. Sigh.
