So I finally heard back from Dad about the accountant and my tax return. They finished it and mailed it yesterday. Their estimate: I'm getting a $4,000 tax return.
Holy shit.
The reason it took so long = they kept finding new loopholes that they could exploit to my benefit. Stuff to do with the sale of my house. The divorce. Single parenting. Extra tax credits for single moms. Adam, you can still propose, but it'll be a long engagement - I wanna milk this!
Between this and the money I'll save on childcare & karate classes while Elayna's in FL this summer, I may be able to knock out 90% of my credit card debt.
