We got the next Which Way USA maps & workbooks today, and mailed them right down to Elayna (with her Ranger Rick and National Geographic World, Captain Underpants newsletter, and the Powerpuff Girls comic we got at the screening today). For those of you just tuning in, the Which Way USA stuff focuses on two different states every month, providing a map and workbooks with all sorts of neat info on the state in question. So we've been asking people who live in those states to e-mail any cool facts or stories about their state to her, care of me (shadesong@livejournal.com), so she can learn more about these states from people who actually live there. Again for those just tuning in, she's 7 and entering the 2nd grade this fall - she reads at an early fourth-grade level, though. So if you send her something, try to gear it to age 7-10.

This month's states are Colorado and Massachusetts. Past states are Florida, California, Texas, and New York. Anything you could send her would be cool. :)

did I miss something?

*ponders*

well, I call alaska home, now, though I've wandered through many a place and am currently living in san franscisco. would you like me to hunt around for odd stories and facts and things for CA? Though I honestly have no clue about kidling levels of comprehension. i

Don't worry, it's not alphabetical - you haven't missed Alaska! Yeah, nifty CA stuff would be cool too. Don't worry too much about comprehension level... I can help her puzzle out anything difficult.
