Just sat in on part of [livejournal.com profile] jet_li_wannabe's class.... he played the climatic Death Star battle from Return of the Jedi, and followed up with the scene from Clerks in which Randal is discussing how unfair it is that, when the rebels blew up the second Death Star, it wasn't done being bult - they blew up a bunch of innocent independent contractors.

This was all setup for a math problem, you see. The kids had to estimate how many plumbers were aboard the Death Star when it blew up. :)

[livejournal.com profile] jet_li_wannabe rocks. :)

[livejournal.com profile] jet_li_wannabe rocks so very much. He's really putting his heart into this class. He does with all of his classes... plays poker and craps with them to teach them probability, stuff like that. :)

Why did I never get to see stuff like that in any of my classes? :)

cheers,
Phil

When I took intro to Sociology back in 1990, my prof (a former roadie for Drivin' and Cryin') spent an entire class on the History of Rap.

I was a sociology minor after taking that class, until I realized that he was the exception, not the rule.

Well...I live in a college town, where I'm considered a ripe old 32...it may just be my perspective! :-)

Just your perspective, then. :)

I can relate to that perspective.
