A note: I am attending Arisia this year with Adam, docorion, and Elayna. What does this mean? If you want just one or two of us, make a note, otherwise I am likely to show up with the whole gang, or at least Miss Kid (while Introvert Adam rests in the room).

Miss Kid's maturity level is high - she's grown up with my friends as her friends, so she interacts fairly seamlessly with "adult" geeks. One thing - she's prudish about language. If you curse, be prepared to pay the toll. Ten cents for words you can say on TV, 25 for words you can't.

If you want me without Miss Kid, that's fine - just let me know so we can plan around that. There are times she's in several straight panels, or Adam can watch her, but I'm not bringing Adam to the con to be a babysitter!


Wednesday
~7 PM: Nous arrivons! Straight from airport to dinner - docorion's picking us up, but we're otherwise dinner-unclaimed. Dinner to hotel.

Thursday
Breakfast open.

I have lunch plans that prrrrobably do not include Adam and Miss Kid; docorion is grabbing them and showing them around Boston.

Dinner with mizarchivist, our men, and my child.

Day may be fairly open, depending on how lunch works out.

Friday
Morning coffee with mangosteen.

Peoplewatching in hotel lobby - read: jumping up frequently and squeeing and hugging the lot of you as you get to the hotel. Look for the tiny person with the curly hair and the little blonde girl.

10 PM: BDSM & Geeks panel (with docorion and happypete!), for which I shall be clad entirely in cleavage-baring, form-fitting black leather. After the panel, please gather in the panel room in preparation for our jaunt to Finale. Trust me, you want to go to Finale.

EDIT: Please note that the Finale trip is for us, where us = me and my friendslist/readers. If you're inviting your entire friendslist, you are sitting at another table - this is my way to see/meet in person the people I already interact with and to get *away* from crowds of people I don't know. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but - boundaries. You + your SO(s) = fine. You + an additional crowd of random strangers = not okay.

Saturday
My panels are as follows:
Noon: Blogging for Writers
4 PM: No Capes! Non-Superhero Comics
10 PM: Unlocked! Secrets of LiveJournal

Which puts my breakfastability pre-11 AM, lunchability at 1 PM and my dinnerability at 6 PM (EDIT: Dinner with rosefox and sinboy!), as Elayna has a 5:00 panel and there's stuff I want to do between panels 2 and 3. And I will be hitting the dance Saturday night.

Also, there's an LJ Meet & Greet at 3 in the ConSuite - if you want to grab me and say hi, that and after the LJ panel (due to it being the last panel of the day in that room) are the best times.

Sunday
My sole panel is Psychoanalysis of the Superhero, at noon. So breakfast is again an option. Lunch, not as much, because Miss Kid has panels straight through til 3 - but late lunch is good, and dinner is 100% open.

Monday
Elayna and the guys and I are spending a big chunk of the day at the Boston Museum of Science. Elayna's missing three days of school for this - she *will* do something educational! Bostonians and extended visitors are welcome to join us. wispfox has us at some point on Monday, hopefully evening. Will work that out.

Tuesday
Most of you are probably working. :( We leave midafternoon, so have breakfast and lunch available.

Please note that I am not organizing a get-together this year, as I am too crazystressybusy to keep track of stuff. But if you are having a get-together that fits into any of these slots, I would love to go - I want to spend as much quality time with as many people as possible!

Non-mealtime seemingly-empty chunks are not listed because, in some cases, I have off-the-books plans - if you have a timeslot that I don't list, ask, because it *might* be open.

If you have breakfast-place ideas, please tell me - I was dissatisfied with the hotel restaurant last year, in that they wouldn't seat us missing even one person, and gave us evil looks when we stuffed the booth with extra late arrivals.

This is a coincidence. I was just at jducoeur's house-warming party, and I asked him which of the five panels he's on he was most looking forward to, and he said, "Non-superhero comics." I don't know if you know him or not, but with the two of you, that oughta be a good panel.

My daughter, evilnicola, is, I think, a grown-up (well as far as 19 years old is grown up) version of Elayna, and I bet she'd be willing to spend a little time with Elayna to free you up, if you are comfortable with that. (Heck of a sentence there). Several of your LJ friends know her. (I know I am volunteering her, but I also know I'm gonna wind up shelling out for her -- among others -- at Finale).

Anyway, yes on the Friday night panel and Finale, and yes on the LJ meetup, though I may be working the Con Suite then.

Also, saw docorion briefly last night at a party at the house where I live.

Breakfast: there's a Finagle a Bagel on Boylston (opens at 0600 Fri, 0630 Sat/Sun). Maybe not the most gourmet place in the world, but they do have at least an attempt at a breakfast menu.

Dinner on Wednesday night might work, depending on if I can get there. I'm getting in at about 2:30pm that day.

Breakfast on Thursday is also a possibility, I'm going to need to do some shopping that weekend as well.

Friday's interesting. I might join you for people watching for a while, or try to get more shopping done. Don't know about friday evening, might be um busy, might be the kind of umbusy that would make a Finale run a good idea.

Saturday's booked, as is Sunday until evening. Dinner a possibility.

Monday I fly out at 7pm, getting back to London the next morning so I don't know quite what the day schedule is, probably could do up to a lunch.

(Our UK office is moving, I'm supervising the network teardown-reconstruction. Flying in on Wednesday, out on Sunday morning. Only in London for Saturday, though...in the boonies before then.)

I'll be in and around. I can't make any formal plans because I don't know my security schedule yet, but would love to hang with you two/three at some point. Doubt I can do late night unless I can find a kid-sitter, though. I will likely be drifting in to stay late afternoon on Friday, after picking the boy up from school and parking over at my office.

I shall debate letting him miss school on Monday to hit the Museum. We haven't been there in around 9 months. I'll probably discuss it with his mother if he and Miss Kid hit it off at all.

You'll definitely want to check out the restaurant guide when it is posted...there are some good discounts being offered at some of the more pricy places. (The boy's mom is writing it, so I've seen some parts in passing...)

Oh, and I'll note that my kid occasionally uses swear words he made up on his own, but almost never real ones. :) I'll make sure he brings change, though...

I am working on Monday, but I work about 2 (long) blocks from the MoS (and my renewed membership might even have shown up by then). So I can join you for lunch, either at the MoS itself or at the Cambridgeside Galleria (a large shopping mall, as opposed to a walking mall, like Commonwealth Avenue) which lies between my place of work and the MoS.

friday: i'm going to be at a drum circle, from 9:30 to...well, i guess whenever the panel ends (sad that i'll be missing that, but drum circle is a necessary start to arisia for me), because i am *so* in for finale. is S.O. plus his S.O. okay? i promise no more if i invite them. i'm rooming with them (is snuggly boy as mentioned in my journal, and his more serious S.O., rather than my no-longer-primary [still S.O. and not at all bad, we just sort of drifted to the point where i didn't really think of him as my primary anymore] and his primary), and they're damn nifty.

Sounds zoo-ey. Finale is **SMALL**. Any group over 8 is going to be jammed in there.

If you want to meet me, the best time is usually between 7AM and whenever babysitting opens. I'm usually shepherding one or more bored kids around the balcony area, trying to keep them entertained and out of destructive rampages while sweetmmeblue catches some Zs. Sometimes she takes the kids to breakfast at the hotel restaurant before that, then we trade off.

I have NFC what we're doing for dinners this year.
