This post is simply a rudimentary Arisia program. I'm collating schedules from those friends who are on panels. Please limit comments here to "here's my schedule"; I'm likely to delete this post as soon as we get actual official Arisia programs, and I'd hate to lose content-y comments.

Way hey and away we go )

A note: I am attending Arisia this year with Adam, [livejournal.com profile] docorion, and Elayna. What does this mean? If you want just one or two of us, make a note, otherwise I am likely to show up with the whole gang, or at least Miss Kid (while Introvert Adam rests in the room).

Miss Kid's maturity level is high - she's grown up with my friends as her friends, so she interacts fairly seamlessly with "adult" geeks. One thing - she's prudish about language. If you curse, be prepared to pay the toll. Ten cents for words you can say on TV, 25 for words you can't.

If you want me without Miss Kid, that's fine - just let me know so we can plan around that. There are times she's in several straight panels, or Adam can watch her, but I'm not bringing Adam to the con to be a babysitter!

Yarr! )

Just got my panel info, which means you other panelists just got yours, so: [livejournal.com profile] rosefox? [livejournal.com profile] happypete? Are you on the "BDSM and Geeks" panel with me? (EDIT: [livejournal.com profile] docorion is! Yay!)

Of the two LJ panels, I'm on the "Unlocked: Secrets of LiveJournal Revealed" one, which is an LJ for beginners thing; I'm on that one because I have Technical Expertise (read: I can write basic HTML and maintain communities and whatnot). There were apparently ~40 people applying to be on LJ panels, is why I'm not on both. (I responded to that with "In that case, thanks for making sure I made it onto one of them! :)")

Also "Blogging for Writers", "No capes! Non-superhero comics", "Blogging as Artistic Medium", and "Psychoanalysis of the Superhero". If I have to drop stuff, I'm most likely to drop "Blogging For Writers/as Artistic Medium", because I feel that there are other people who can do just as good a job there, whereas I feel that I have better/more unique input on the comics panels - they don't tend to have comics writers at Arisia, at least not so's I've noticed.

*vibrates*

EDIT: Point against dropping "Blogging for Writers" - I'm on it with [livejournal.com profile] nihilistic_kid. !!!

I've asked you about your default icon, I've asked you about your chosen name... now I'm going to ask you why you're here in the first place. No, not in the cosmic grand scheme of things. But:

Why are you on LiveJournal?

Why do you keep an LJ? What is it for you - a diary? A community-building tool? A way to communicate?

How do you use it? What do you use it for?

Why LJ instead of Journalspace, BlogSpot, et cetera?

This has more relevance than just my curiosity; this is also LJ-panel-at-Arisia research so, as the six-fingered man said, "Tell me how you feel...and remember, this is for posterity, so please be honest." :)

A Poll
[Poll #597858]

A Question
I have to write a bio for the program. Um. What do I write? Halp!

Holy crap, if I speak on all the panels I'm interested in, I will not have time for anything but speaking on panels. *head spins*

For those who're interested: Yes, the panel on BDSM and Geekdom is included, and yes, I will be preparing visual aids.

FYI: The ones I'm most interested in: The LiveJournal ones, of course, if only because half of my Arisia-friends were looking for me at them last year, and a few of the comics ones. Some of the literature ones, too. Mmm. A lot. Aaagh.
