For the story I finished yesterday, I needed an alcoholic drink called The Witch's Heart. So I turned to Twitter and asked what it should be, with the note #itneedsacherry.

[livejournal.com profile] zombie_dog: "Prepare a glass of sugared absinthe over a cherry. Pipe ginger liqueur into the BOTTOM of the glass, do not stir."

[livejournal.com profile] zarhooie: "1pt kirschwasser, 1pt bourbon (warmed), 1 cherry, set on fire."

[livejournal.com profile] tablesaw: "Irish Whiskey, unpitted cherries & chamomile in a jar. Bury facing NNW in yard of enemy for 3 mos. Serve chilled, swallow the pit."

What would your recipe be?

I think this depends mightily on what kind of witch we are dealing with. Glinda, Baba Yaga, and Hermione all would be very different drinks!

That said I'm inclined to go with a shot of some sort. Maybe a cherry marinated in Jäger, then stuffed in the bottom of a shot glass topped with black Sambuca. You have to get the cherry out using your tongue. ...I feel the need to test this to see if it tastes horrific.

Let me assure you: it does. Save your taste buds, leave this a hypothetical drink. }:->
